my students are lovely. i got flowers, wine and chocolates (to which i could only say "wow, does this mean we're dating?"), then i got some shoes (i love being a charity case!) and hot chocolate (on soy, yumyumyum), today i got two baskets and a bilum. they get top marks and a tickertape parade (except for the ones who pissed me off and didn't chip in to bribe me with loveliness, they can get embarrassing bowel disorders).

and my house smells like roasting chestnuts.
