2005-11-29 - 8:48 p.m. i think most people who bear grudges are amateurs. (i would also like to note the difference between bearing grudges and baring grudges -- like bearing arms and baring arms. also things being in vain and in the same vein. one of my favourite things about spellcheck is when it trips people up and makes me feel superior) because most of my cd collection has been gleaned from the $10 rack at Rocking Horse (or i've bought from elsewhere more expensively and found it in the $10 rack a year later), i picked up Ill Communication today. this reminded me of an argument i had two and a half years ago at a barbeque with a bloke whose name i don't even remember. just that i said that Sabotage was on Ill Communication and he refused to believe me. i don't think we need to go into how protracted the discussion of "i don't think so" "i think so" got to be. two and a half years on i feel a little smug satisfaction. if i could remember who he was, i would send him a photocopy of the track listing with "haha, bloody knew it" written on it. that's a bloke i barely knew who mildly irritated me. people who severely piss me off should thank appropriate deities for my poor memory. you'd all be getting extremely sharp notes. |
