i'm just blatantly writng here to complain.

i have particular and specific issues with my eye going woogly on a Saturday night during a long weekend. although i think there IS a doctor open Sundays and public holidays about five suburbs away, it is somewhat problematic for me to get there what with the vision problems and all. and i know for a fact that the pharmacy attached to said clinic-y place is closed. and i don't really like doctors anyway, so i kinda prefer to mope about and hope it just fixes itself. (the last guy i saw about this slightly freaked me out by threatening to cut my eyelid open. okay, not so much threatened as just suggested, as if it were going to make me feel better. the other ones i've seen just pissed me off by being totally unhelpful about what the problem is and how i prevent it. i suspect not falling asleep with contact lenses in three times in one week would be part of the issue).

so have been housebound for the long weekend. which i would be even shittier about if not for the Hitchhiker's Guide watching on Saturday, and finding a Terry Pratchett book under my bed, and knitting and drinking tea while watching Wallace and Gromit, and chocolate pudding and Father Ted, and drowsing listening to Divine Comedy with cucumber on woogly eye and a blurry view of the rain on the other and nearly catching up on sleep. apart from that, it would have been crap.
